Rotary Foundation Awards $9500
to Local Organizations
In February, the South Santa Maria Rotary Foundation awarded grants to 9 local organizations including OASIS Center, in support of the Center’s health, physical and social activities for local seniors, Neurofighters, enabling people with neurological conditions to participate in non-contact boxing style fitness and functional exercise, Awakening Giantz, serving adults exiting the foster care system, M-CM Network, supporting families of those with macrocephaly-capillary malformation, Friends of the Santa Maria Public Library, for purchase of Spanish language books to give out for free at community events, Santa Maria Philharmonic Society, to support their free Library Concert series, Santa Maria in Action, to fund equipment and tools for neighborhood clean-ups, EconAlliance, to help fund a partnership supporting foster students with a workforce development pathway, Orcutt Youth Football, to provide scholarships,
South Santa Maria Rotary Foundation is part of the Santa Maria South Rotary Club, a local service organization affiliated with Rotary International, providing community service and funding for local and global projects. The club meets the 1st and 3rd Monday evenings each month from 6:00-7:30 at the Santa Maria Inn.
