Meet Daryl: The Timid Helper Dog
Daryl is a sweet, 2-year-old, 60-pound blue-coated dog with white feet, who might seem shy at first, but he’s full of love. At the shelter, Daryl serves as a “helper dog,” comforting and playing with other timid dogs. His calm, non-reactive nature makes him a favorite among staff. His friends range from shepherds to pugs!
Daryl is great with dogs of all sizes and loves car rides. Though strong, he’s expected to be a couch potato once settled. He’s easy to walk and has no aggressive tendencies, making him a safe companion. He will need time to trust his new family, but with patience, he’ll become a loyal friend.
Daryl would thrive in a home with another dog to play with and a back yard to play in. If you’re ready to offer the loving home he deserves, please visit 548 Foster Rd or call 805-934-6119. Shelter hours are Tuesday - Sunday 10am to 6pm.
