In addition to the national and state elections, there are several Orcutt school board and airport district positions to be decided November 3.  The filing period closed August 7. 
           In the Orcutt Union Elementary District, on the ballot in trustee area 5 will be incumbent Shaun Henderson, David Reid Morgan and Whitney Mouritsen May. In areas 3 and 4 respectively, incumbents Mark Steller and Melanie Waffle are unopposed.  
           In the Santa Maria Joint Union High District area 5, incumbent David Baskett and Joe Dana are on the ballot.   For the Santa Barbara County Board of Education area 5, Judith Frost, incumbent, and Griselda Ruiz are on the ballot.  
          There are three candidates for Santa Maria Airport District area 4: Alejandro Arredondo, incumbent Michael Clayton and Parick D. Youngern. 
          The candidates will have the opportunity to share information about themselves in the October edition of the Orcutt Pioneer.
